According to Dr Jonathon Koomey of  The Uptime Institute and a leading  Stanford University professor, the amount of power consumed globally by servers doubled between 2000 to 2005.  By the end of 2005 the world was using 123 billion kilowatts of power to run the world’s servers. (more…)
