On July 30th, 24/7 Uptime’s high availability partner, Marathon Technologies, hosted a joint webinar with Microsoft – “Top 10 reasons to Upgrade to Windows 2008 now”. I’m learning more about the CRC legislation that comes into effect next year and it’s sounding like a rather expensive undertaking for business so far. From what I can gather, and in very simple terms, organisations within the scope of this legislation will initially need to buy allowances (emission credits) from the Government at a cost of £12/tonne of CO2 produced.
