Europeans leading the green revolution
Companies in Europe are more likely to invest in green IT projects over the coming years, than those in the US or Asia Pacific, according to a new survey from Gartner, and announced at Future Focus event on 10 June at Manchester City’s stadium.
The report reveals that only 15% of European companies believe that the current climate will lead them to downgrade the importance of green IT projects, compared with 32% of American companies and 25% in the Asia Pacific region. European companies are also investing more in these types of projects with 46% anticipating spending more then 15% of their IT capital budgets on green projects, whereas only 38% of Asia Pacific companies and 36% of US companies had the same expectations.
